Scandiff is the off-line system for the comparison of digital images. Scandiff can be used for three different kinds of control:
PDF/PDF
This functionality enables the comparison of the customer’s first pdf file with the same pdf file processed during the pre-printing. It is possible to detect defects introduced by the operator who processes digital files and it is also possible to detect any errors introduced by the file conversion into different formats.
PDF/BITMAP
With this feature it is possible to compare the first print result with the pdf file provided by the customer. It is possible to find out errors which come up during the processing of the plates or clichés.
BITMAP/BITMAP
This functionality is useful to compare two different print results. It can be used to compare one of the labels with all the other labels within a print format, or to compare a previous taken print sample with a new print job.
